Matt is a dedicated drum educator with a genuine passion for inspiring drummers of all ages, levels, and abilities. His teaching focuses on nurturing confidence, musicality, and joy in every player, while helping them grow through a supportive and engaging approach.

Matt’s drumming journey began in 2000, when he started weekly lessons at his secondary school. Immersed in a wide range of musical styles, he discovered his love for the powerful rhythms of heavy rock and metal, with a particular talent for the intricate techniques of double bass drumming.

Naturally progressing into live performance, Matt has played on prominent stages across the Southeast, developed his skillset through numerous studio recording projects, and continues to perform regularly—including appearances at international music festivals in countries such as Portugal.

Alongside his performance career, Matt has extensive experience teaching through the Rockschool grade syllabus, successfully guiding students through their drum exams and helping them achieve their musical goals.
